Watercolors
I work on thick watercolor paper and apply many layers of transparent color. The result of this technique is luminous because the bottom layers of color are reflected through the upper layers.
Silverpoint
Silverpoint is a Renaissance technique that involves drawing with a stick of pure silver on a prepared surface. Often, I will color the drawing with pastels, ground up and applied with a brush.
Gouache, Graphite, Acrylic, Digital
Gouache are opaque watercolors that dry to a matte finish. In this gallery you will find graphite drawings as well as acrylics, mixed media and digital illustrations.
